TT-50 at Memorial Park: connecting families with our heritage

1 November 2026 · Memorial Park, Port of Spain

The Port of Spain & Environs Region PTA joined partners at Memorial Park for the announcement of the pilot site for TT-50: ReDiscover the Republic, an initiative led by the Private Sector Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago (PSOTT).

Preserving places. Inspiring the next generation.

TT-50 aims to rehabilitate 50 heritage and tourism sites across Trinidad and Tobago. Its approach connects restoration with ongoing community care, so that these places remain welcoming and meaningful for future generations.

The partnership brings together tourism agencies, businesses and civil-society groups, including Scouts, Girl Guides, Cadets and our PTA region. Our role centres on engaging school communities and families in heritage education and practical participation.

Memorial Park is the first pilot site announced following the initiative’s national launch in September 2026.
